Portrait photo sessions are fun… but with Dani and Hannah a portrait shoot is just plain funny. I grew up on the next door farm to these girls in Zambia, and since then their propensity to giggle at the most random of things has only increased. Place them in front of a camera and some lights, and it increases even more! I think the joke was on me most of the time
A situation like this is actually quite handy for a photographer, because because wedged in between the silliness some lovely natural portraits present themselves. These images were taken at the girls parents place in Capel, outside Bunbury, a beautiful smallholding covered in thick native trees and a small lake (unfortunately dry at this time of year). My favourite thing about them? Dani’s shoes in the first photo!

Thanks Hannah and Dani, you were good models! Next time we’re getting your parents involved… maybe some make-up and hair styling for your Dad even?!?!?

Gav you are an absolute legend and a masterful photographer!
Managing to hide Hannah’s giant ears is no easy feat
