Shooting Peter and Shayne’s wedding in Toowoomba was a good excuse to head interstate for a bit of a holiday. Visions of sunning ourselves on Queensland beaches were laid to rest by mother nature, who decided that sun wasn’t going to be a luxury we would enjoy on this trip! Thats ok, it was a good opportunity to catch up with mates, and of course to photograph this fantastic wedding. The rain on the day didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits or enthusiasm, and it even stopped for a couple of hours so we could get the bridal party photoshoot done. A special mention must go to the bridesmaids and groomsmen who were pretty much up for anything during this shoot! Lots of fun and a great setting looking out over a valley made for some pretty cool wedding photos. Congrats Peter and Shayne, it was a well planned and brilliantly executed day! I’m sure your married life will go just as well. Here’s some images I like from the wedding:

And one more of the evenings main party starter:

Its sad to think that a little over a month after this wedding the waterways around Toowoomba reached critical capacity, resulting in the hectic and shocking floods which you would have seen all over the news. Plenty people at the wedding would have been affected in some way or another, but from what I’ve heard they all got through it relatively physically unscathed. Obviously others weren’t so lucky, and homes, livelihoods and lives have been lost. My heartfelt condolences to anyone affected in this way.
