I got to know Momo when I worked alongside him in the Perth CBD, so was really pleased when him and Sharon asked me to do their wedding photos. When I rocked up at Momo’s place at about 9.30 in the morning on the day of his wedding, he was the epitome of chilled… you know, watching a bit of TV, eating some breakfast. He definitely didnt look like someone who was getting married in three hours! And that kind of set the tone for the day – him and Sharon where unflappable, laid back and really fun. They really enjoyed their day, and it rubbed off on everyone around them, including their wedding photographer. Take a look at some of the wedding photos below. The first one is of Momo in the shoes he would have LIKED to have worn on his wedding day!
Here’s an image I really like of the girls getting their hair done. The double sided mirror in Sharon’s parents home made for some cool reflection images.

And here’s Sharon, the very glamorous bride to be, ready for her wedding!

Momo and Sharon observed a unique and fun custom in their wedding ceremony, releasing two red balloons joined together into the blue sky. A couple of seconds later, a whole bunch of balloons were released! It looked great, and was another small touch that made their wedding memorable.

For the bridal party photoshoot we went to East Perth. This is a great place to get some really varied wedding images, because there are so many different spots in the one location where photos can be taken. The late-afternoon light was perfect, and we got some amazing wedding photos. This one below is one of my favourites:

For their wedding reception we headed to the Gala Restaurant in Applecross. This is an amazing venue for any kind of function, and the food is simply superb. The wedding reception itself went off without a hitch (or WITH a hitch… get it?) – the speeches were great, and everyone enjoyed themselves. My favourite image from the evening is this one of Sharon throwing her wedding bouquet to the waiting ladies. It just captures a nice moment quite nicely! I hope you enjoy reading about this day as much as I enjoyed photographing it. Check out a full gallery of the wedding images at this page right here.
