Mike and Bree’s Pre-wedding Shoot

I did this pre-wedding shoot with Mike and Bree a couple of weeks ago in Freo, (a city where there’s never any shortage of textures and backdrops)! Mike and Bree are getting married in Karijini National Park this Saturday, so I thought it’d be a good time to post a few images from this session. We thought that since the wedding photography is going to be very country and landscape orientated we should try get some ‘urban-esque’ shots for the pre-wedding photography. Here’s some of the images we came up with.

On a side note, I’m super-excited about this wedding! It’s going to be a great experience heading to a stunning part of Western Australia and getting some photos of an awesome couple. Mike and Bree have also suggested doing a ‘trash the dress’ shoot the day after the wedding in the infamous Karijini rock pools…. seriously brave and exciting stuff!

My Brother and Future Sister-in-law!

So my brother is getting married in August to the lovely Wendy, in a picturesque church in Shrewsbury in the English Midlands. We were out in Zambia recently and visiting the Kapishya Hotsprings up in the north of the country… a long way from Shrewsbury! We took the opportunity to do a pre-wedding photoshoot, hoping for clear sunny skies and the crystal blue water of the hotsprings to play off each other. We got rain instead, but it let up enough for us to take some photos, and thanks to the good looks of these two (runs in the family hey ) they came up pretty nice. There’s a kind of tropical jungley feel to them… I dare say that’s a bit different to their actual wedding location. Cannot wait to get those wedding photos in August, see you there guys

Hamish and Tracey’s Pre-Wedding Shoot

So its nearly midnight and Im categorising and filing away a years worth of photography and I’ve stumbled across Hamish and Tracey’s pre-wedding shoot… and the penny drops. I never blogged about this shoot. (In my defence I left for a month’s holiday shortly after! I got a fair bit of blogging to catch up on.) Anyway here they are, Hamish and Tracey’s photographs from their pre-wedding shoot… and not a moment too soon either. They get married this weekend!

Mal and Jen’s Pre-Wedding Shoot

Mal and Jen’s wedding is coming up on the 2nd of April, so a couple of weeks ago we headed up to Burns Beach to get some pre-wedding photographs done. I think Burns Beach is going to become my new favourite location, its has the perfect combination of rocks, sand and surf. Throw in a setting sun and a good looking couple like these two and you’re onto a winner! Watch this space for their wedding photographs!

Teneale and Guy Get Engaged!

This photoshoot was heaps of fun. Teneale and Guy really got into the action, bringing at least three costume changes, a vintage tea set and some of the best cupcakes I’ve ever eaten! We even had some props, in the form of my enthusiastic stylist Mia’s very funky umbrellas and a couple of paper mache love hearts she may or may not have picked up at a rave in the forest! We used the kind of gothic architecture of the Cottesloe Civic Centre as a backdrop, which nicely offset the outifts. To top it all off, when the sun went down we were treated to one of the best sunsets I’ve seen in Perth for a long time. It capped off a couple of hours of real cool photography! Oliver and Theresa Pre-Wedding Photography – Trigg Beach Shoot

Oliver and Theresa found me online and really liked the photos I’ve taken at Trigg Beach, their favourite in Perth. (And I thought everyone hired me because Im a nice guy :p) They were planning a small wedding ceremony next to the beach early on a Saturday morning, surrounded by close friends and family. To complement their wedding photos we did an evening photoshoot the day before their wedding, also on Trigg Beach as the sun was going down. Having come across from Adelaide for their wedding they had packed light, and we had to be careful not to get Olivers only pair of black trousers too sandy! Nonetheless, they were both very relaxed in front of the camera and up for anything! Me and Nicole (who helped me out on the shoot – thanks Nix!) at times felt bystanders just watching these two enjoy themselves on Trigg Beach! Here’s a few photos from the shoot.
